I see this building every time I drive from Austin or San Antonio to Dallas. Its right off the right hand side of I35 just as you round a bend in Waco. I’m sure that if you have the UE eye and have made this trip before you have seen it too.

I like this fence. It’s not boring like the much to overused chain link fence topped with barbed wire.

This is the side you would see traveling north on I35. The missing window panes give it away as being abandoned.

I had always seen this building but for one reason or another I was never able to stop and check it out. Fortunately I was by myself on my way to Quake Con (www.quakecon.org)and had no reason to be in a rush. Upon closer inspection I could see that it might not be completely abandoned and might be used for storage because there are stacks of boxes inside.

Some of the windows have a reflective coating on them while the rest are normal. You can see the windows on the other side of the building.

As you can see from the sign this is US Property (wooo scary). I didn’t feel like risking it though because about 50 cars a minute pass 50 yards from this gate. At this point when I was taking this picture I was nearly overwhelmed by a stench that didn’t really bother me as much before. There is only one picture after this so you may want to skip it if you have a weak stomach.

Looking down at my feet I realized what it was coming from and nearly choked. So I took a picture.
