Suburban Underground Vadders

Travis State School

Turning around the other direction you will see the Laundry building. Through some big metal doors you can see a big jumble of blue pipes and tanks probably used to heat water for cleaning tons and tons of linen.

A little further back in this room is what appears to be a big old and rusty boiler. I think that’s the only way boilers should look.

I wasn’t to surprised to find that they even had 2 of their own gas pumps. They probably had their own fleet of vans, utility vehicles and busses.

One entrance to the carpenter shop. There was a fenced in area that could hardly be looked into due to the amount of plant life.

Here is a view of one of the workshop rooms through a rusty window.

Trash and ceiling tiles litter the floor in the main hallway.

In one of the rooms we found a useful surprise: Blueprints. I hope to go back and get a really good detail shot of one that shows the layout of the campus and labels all of the buildings. This is one of the older prints of the campus. The picture was take when Mox25, Chicagocookie and TexasOgre went with me.

We also found this sign. It isn’t often these days that you see a sign telling you that smoking is actually ok, especially at a school/hospital. How the times change.
