History:
RevSM has been exploring the urban landscape long before there was a name for it. The large system of ditches and tunnels in his neighborhood when he was a child were not just a way of funneling run-off water away from the roads but was an alternative way of getting from one part of the neighborhood to another. After spending his entire life in suburban America he has had a taste for exploration of the concrete jungle that many of us live in. At some point there also grew a fascination (not to be confused with fetish) with the strange and almost otherworldliness of gas masks. Much like the fascination with the way that decrepit and partially destroyed can begin to look like alien installations on desert or jungle planets if you look at them just right. Of course it is always just as fascinating when you try to imagine what that broken switch would have done if there was still power to it and a person to come to here work every day and operate it.
The Rev was the first of the crew to ever explore the Longhorn Quarry when he decided that he would ride his bike about 2 miles to get there. Ever since it has been almost a big dusty friend that you can always go back to.
RevSM owns a collection of 25+ different historic and working models of gas masks. Occasionally these are used for protection from the hazardous environments that are explored and also used by the whole clan as a way of concealing one’s identity when they want their photo taken and used on this page.
