Suburban Underground Vadders

Return to Standard Industries

We decided to get a good look around since this may very well be the last time that we could. This was on the wall in one of the front offices but there weren’t that many locked doors in the place since they were either already unlocked or someone had already made a way in for us. Though it was kind of neat but didn’t feel any need to use any.

In the hallway leading to the cafeteria an extension cord hangs from the ceiling covered in cobwebs. We didn’t have flashlights so we decided to backtrack to the main loading area so that we could find out what was making noise.

After getting up the courage we followed the sound cautiously and found that it was this pipe draining water into a culvert under the concrete foundation. Why? Maybe they were flushing it out because it likely had collected lots of chemicals and stagnant water for years.

Inside the warehouse next to the production line there was yet more evidence that things were changing.

Brand new light fixtures sitting neatly in rows waiting for someone to install them using the scissor lift parked near by.
