Return to Standard Industries
The last time I went to Standard Industries was, if I’m not mistaken, around summer time 2002. It was my first visit during the day and I was greeted with a most unpleasant sight, about 10 portable dumpsters and a mound of trash spilling out the front loading bay.
It appears that Alamo Dumpster spells the end of Standard Industries.
Not sure what exactly is happening here but it appears that they are gutting the insides in preparation of using it for something.
Again the mound of trash and insulation and debris spilling out. I haven’t been back since this trip but my guess is that they plan on actually using it for something new.
I’m not entirely sure how they plan on using this place because the machinery inside did not look like it was very usable and would seem very difficult to dismantle and move away. When first stepping inside we could hear something coming from the inside but couldn’t tell from where or what it was. With this new obvious change in scenery we were a bit worried about someone working even though it was on the weekend.
